Platform Changes
- Support for all Microsoft Windows 10 editions ended with HOOPS Visualize Desktop 2025.8.0 in coordination with Microsoft’s scheduled end of life policy.
- Support for OpenGL on macOS is deprecated and will no longer be supported starting in January 2026. Partners will have to migrate to Metal in order to maintain support for Apple devices in the future.
Enhancements
EdgeGenerationOptionsKit allows the user to Set/Unset/Show:
- adjacent, hard, mesh quad, and perimeter visibilities
- default face and edge visibilities (assumed on by default)
- ignore local face and edge visibilities (not ignored by default)
- hard edge dihedral limit
Deprecations
- HOOPS Communicator sprocket (HCA) is deprecated and will be removed in HOOPS Visualize Desktop 2027.1.0.
