HOOPS Visualize Desktop 2026.3.0

Overview

HOOPS Visualize 2026.3.0 is a robustness-focused update that improves security, stability (especially with Remote Desktop), and build/release reliability. There are no breaking API changes in this release.

What’s New in HOOPS Visualize Desktop/Mobile 2026.3.0

  • More secure stream handling

Internal HSF stream interpretation code now uses safer buffer and string operations, reducing the risk of buffer overruns when loading content.

  • More robust Remote Desktop workflows

Fixed a crash and UI inconsistencies (Axis Triad disappearing) when reconnecting to a remote machine via Remote Desktop Connection. The same robustness improvements are also delivered in 3DF 30.60-LTS and 31.10.

  • Stronger installers and CI pipeline

HDV/HPDV installers no longer depend on a hard-coded HOOPS Exchange DLL list, improving resilience to Exchange updates. Visualize’s CI configuration has also been updated to better handle multiple build platforms, contributing to higher overall release quality.

API Changes

  • In some scenarios, the Axis Triad (reference triad) could disappear after reconnecting to a remote machine via RDC and only reappear after user interaction with the application window. This behavior has been corrected.
