PDF Reader
The PDF Reader provides access to PRC or U3D streams stored within a particular PDF file under the condition it has exactly one annotation.
This is done via the API A3DGet3DPDFStreams()
which returns to the developer all the 3D streams that are contained within a particular PDF.
Once you extract the U3D and/or PRC streams form the PDF document you can then pass them to the standard HOOPS Exchange File Read function.
A file does not need to have a particular extension to be read correctly by HOOPS Exchange, however the file extensions of PDF files that you can expect to be loaded by HOOPS Exchange are:
.PDF
Our readers are updated to the latest released version within 90 days of the release of the authoring software. You can see the exact version supported in the current release here.
