Optimization – Tessellation

Tessellation

These settings control the amount of triangles in the output model.

The user can type in a value or use the up and down arrows in the text box. Select and deselect the boxes to remove the option.

• Tolerance (positive, rational numbers i.e. decimals)

  • The larger the number the more triangles are removed.

  • Default: 0.7

• Decimation (integer)

  • A target decimation percentage. Set this number high to speed up processing.

  • Default: 5

• Triangle Threshold (integer)

  • Will only optimize a model with more triangles than the given number.

  • Default: 500,000
