Managing Material Definitions

The user can manage Material Definitions using the buttons provided at the top of the page.

New

To create a new definition, select New. Enter the details required for:

Field

Description

Name

Name of material defined (E.g. Copper)

Refs

Names used through CAD systems (E.g. Copper,copper,Cu)

GLTF

Applied to GLTF format? True/False

GLTF Properties

Properties applied to GLTF file

  • Metal: 0.08

  • RGBA: R:0.804 G:0.498 B:1 A:1

  • Roughness: 0.13

  • TwoSided: 1

FBX

Applied to FBX format? True/False

FBX Properties

Properties applied to FBX file

  • Diffuse: R:0.804 G:0.498 B:1 A:1

  • Shininess: 0.2

  • Type: Phong

VRED

Applied to VRED format? True/False

VRED Properties

Pre-defined VRED material name

  • MaterialName: Bronze

Edit

To Edit a definition, select the given Material definition and then select Edit. Update the details as described in the table above.

Delete

To delete a definition, select the given Material definition and then select Delete. A pop up confirmation will appear to confirm Delete or Cancel.
