New Features / Enhancements
The following new features or enhancements have been introduced with this release.
Ref ID |
New Feature / Enhancement Description |
|---|---|
1 |
Multibody support improvement: solid bodies in parts are now published in Creo View as multibody nodes. All non-solid geometry is automatically consolidated under the parent node for improved structure readability. |
2 |
Default visibility support: CATIA V5 node visibility settings are published to Creo View. Handling of Instance-based visibility of components in assemblies is controlled by a recipe option. |
3 |
Datum Handling Improvement: Datum planes, lines and axes are now exported as dedicated datum types, enabling filtering in Creo View. |
4 |
For this release and future releases, the Theorem name has been replaced with SpinFire Convert which consequently means that the install location for all translators will point to C:Program FilesSpinFireSpinFire Convert\ by default. This path can be modified to point to the Theorem folder like previous translator versions if required. |
5 |
For this release and future releases, when exporting to Creo View interactively from within CATIA V5, the option that will need to be used is SpinFire Convert Export. This has replaced the previous option which was named Theorem Export. |
Known Limitations and Restrictions
The following limitations and restrictions have been identified during final testing prior to release.
Ref ID |
Limitations and Restrictions |
|---|---|
1 |
At this revision ‘Minimum Memory mode’ is deprecated. Going forward this will be removed. |
2 |
In some cases, when there are multiple instances of the same component and there are differences in the visibility state of the children within these instances, then the current default is to maintain the visibility state of the first instance when converting to Creo View, for example if the visibility state of a child in the first instance is hidden but is visible in the second instance, then the child will be hidden in both instances in Creo View after conversion.
