New Feature / Enhancement Description

1

Beginning at this 29.1 release, SpinFire Convert is transitioned to PRO and STD licensing. Use of this Release will require an updated license. Existing customers will be updated to the PRO license. The software will continue to work as previously provided. If you are using a 3D PDF product, Customers with a “Create” license will be transitioned to STD and those with an “Enhanced” license will transition to PRO.

Understanding PRO vs. STD:

  • STD – Export from the CAD Interface only (where applicable).

  • PRO – Includes STD and provides Batch capabilities via the UI and command line.

2

Support for CATIA V5-6R2026.

3

Hidden solids will now be converted when translating multi-bodies by default, however hidden wireframe or surfaces will not be converted.

4

The converter now takes note of the toggle on the basic tab in the recipe editor for Datum Points, Datum Axes and Datum Planes. To view these in Creo View you must enable filtering.

Brief Description

TH-2232

Duplicate child component ID error no longer displayed when translating an assembly in positioning mode that includes empty nodes in the structure.

TH-2257

By default, the watermark angle is hard coded at -45 degrees. A new option has therefore been added to the recipe editor to allow the angle to be modified. The watermark angle options available to select are:

  • -90

  • -60

  • -45

  • -30

  • 0

  • +30

  • +45

  • +60

  • +90

TH-2316

Angle and position of locators now correct as verified by PTC.

TH-2317

All parts now retain their relative position in the Creo View when translating in positioning mode.

TH-2321

Additional boxes displayed around the annotation in PDF output no longer displayed when translating from CATIA V5 to Creo View with the PDF add-on.

TH-2334

Cable/tubing geometry now displayed correctly in the Creo View output. Disabled visibility state option (adapter/processVisibilityState=0) does not need to be applied for this dataset. Processed Solids visibility state is the option that is required, this is a new option and is now the default. This option does not display additional planes/surfaces that had been observed in the Creo View outputs on other datasets translated in previous versions.

TH-2342

Specific CATProduct now publishing correctly. Crash no longer occurring, connection to worker is not lost.

AR-280

Both options use_inst_name and ditto_naming V5 are required in order for the CATIA Instance Name attribute and corresponding value to be displayed on all object types in Creo View. Applying these 2 options will ensure that the correct CATIA Instance Name is displayed in the attribute window in Creo View.
