PLATFORM SUPPORT WARNINGS
HOOPS Visualize x86 architecture is now deprecated and support is scheduled to end with HPS 2024.8.0 in December, 2024. As part of this deprecation, customer packages for this platform are no longer accessible from the Developer Zone. Contact Tech Soft 3D Support for access to this platform.
Support for Visual Studio 2017 (V14.1) is now deprecated and is scheduled to end with HPS 2024.8.0 in December, 2024.
Support for .Net 5 is now deprecated due to Microsoft ending support in May 2022. Support in HOOPS Visualize is scheduled to end with HPS 2024.8.0 in December, 2024 and be replaced with support for .Net 8 in HOOPS Visualize HPS 2025.1.0.
Support for Universal Windows Platform (UWP) is now deprecated and is scheduled to end with HPS 2024.8.0 in December, 2024. Microsoft recommends using the Windows App SDK, and WinUI rather than UWP as it is no longer under active development. Instructions for migrating an app from UWP to Windows SDK can be found here.
Support for Hololens I will end with HPS 2024.8.0 in December, 2024 due to Microsoft’s planned end of life for device support. After December 10, 2024, HoloLens (1st Gen) devices will continue to function, however will no longer receive security updates or technical support.
Support for OpenGL on MacOS and iOS platforms is deprecated and contingent on Apple’s unpublished support plan. Partners are strongly encouraged to migrate to Metal in order to maintain support in the future.

Enhancements
Memory Management. Added a function to limit the amount of VRAM used for display lists in order to balance resource usage and rendering performance. Refer to SetVideoMemoryLimitRatio(double in_limit_ratio) for more information.
Functional changes
harfbuzz upgrade. Upgraded harfbuzz to v8.5.0 to address critical vulnerabilities and exposures.
